Time for a second update on my progress with The Immortal Rules. The story has been great, haven't done big progress for lack of time, not a lack of interest. But sadly, today I do understand what means to truly hate a character. We find amazing characters who we appreciate for their effort, POV or for their way to be a plot catalyst. Also, we find those who are useless because of their negative impact on the main, they are excess baggage. Stick is this book excess baggage. He is terrible and I cannot fathom why he is alive! I hate spoilers and now thanks to Stick and my rage against him, I have succumb to spoilers.
On the other hand we have Allison. She is a fighter, at least until this 31% and I really hope she keeps that way. A change on her, that would make me sad.
I saw a lot of hype over this one. It didn't really seem like something I would enjoy and based off of this post, I'm glad I didn't request it on NetGalley. I hope it gets better for you. Maybe they kill off that character for you?
