Melodic Top Ten Tuesday + Teaser

Weekly meme at
The Broke and The Bookish

Top Ten Eight Books I'd Give A Theme Song To:
Mockingjay/The Hunger Games- Uprising (Muse) The song is about revolution and victory.  it is about changing the status quo.  This can be Katniss anthem.  (Using James Durbin version- it's incredible)
Interview With The Vampire- Closer (King of Leon)  Kings of Leon sing the tale of a vampire who kills and feels no remorse sentiments.  It makes me think of Lestat.

A Place In This Life- Young Blood (The Naked and Famous) This is about youthful freedom and about living the moment.  This book presents a love story and characters who value the intensity to live life each day to the fullest.

Twilight - A White Demon Love Song (The Killers for New Moon OST) A love song about a a creature who loves a woman and wants to be part of her life.  Certainly, Edward is the white demon the song depicts.

Neverwhere - Fix You (Coldplay) Fix You reflects Richard situation, he is lost, in a world unknown to him and also, losing his existence.

The Emerald City- Alice (Avril Lavigne for Almost Alice OST)  Olivia is lost, confuse and rying to decide if life is worth the fight.  Although she is almost broken, she reacts and changes her life.  The song shows Alice as strong against the adversity; no matter how she falls she will continue just like Olivia.

The Southern Vampire Mysteries/ Sookie Stackhouse series - Vampire Blues (Neil Young) The lyrics  are as follow : I'm a vampire, babe, sucking blood from the earth... I know this is a song for protest but the music I can picture as a background for the action on the book.

Life As We Knew It - It's The End Of The World As We Know It /And I Feel Fine (REM)  The song describes a world's ending but the character living this experience is fine, he is continuing with his life, at least while it last.  The characters on this book are not fine but they continue, that is why this lyrics make me remember the book.

This Teaser Tuesdays is from Revealing Eden by Victoria
Foyt:

"At the age of seven, she had chosen the copper earing-the only personal decision she'd ever made.  She tought of it as an appendage, as vital as her heart or lungs".

As soon as I read this words I was captivated.
