These are her questions for me to answer:
Do you prefer literary (character-driven) or commercial (plot-driven) fiction? I have to say, I prefer a plot-driven dynamic and unexpected story. When the story has a fantastic plot characters evolve and the story grabs my attention from the get go. Plot is important, characters are like people in actual life, they grow as they have experiences and explore life.
Do you like classic literature? (Bronte, Faulkner, Shakespeare etc.) If so, recommend one (1) for a modern reader who loves books but can’t seem to see the magic of the classics. I like the classics. I think you should read Hamlet.
I've got an (imaginary) teen here who hates reading and is going to fail school because of it. You get three shots at making them FALL IN LOVE with books. Which three (3) books do you choose? For this imaginary friend of yours, I would choose these three books: The Chocolate War, The Messenger and The Hunger Games
What is your #1 pet peeve that many authors do (and you wish they didn't)? Some authors write using too many fragments. They write paragraphs of fragmented sentences that don't make any sense individually or collectively.
Name your top reason for choosing whichever e-reader you have (i.e. Why Nook and not Kindle) OR your top reason for not owning an e-reader. I read my ebooks on laptop and also on tablet. I prefer to read my books on Kindle for android. I don't own a reader because I prefer the versatility a tablet can offer. I love to have paperbacks, because I like books and look at my bookshelf but I have adopted also the electronic formats for their conveniences. Sometime ago I wrote a post about print vs ebook, you can read it here.
You get to pick a boyfriend out of characters in books. Who’s the lucky man that gets brought to life from the pages just for you? I don't know who I would brought to life, but I do know who I woudn't : Sancho Panza from Don Quixote.
Which book character reminds you most of yourself? No clue!!! But I'll ask around.
What inspired the name of your book blog? After some unproductive brainstorming, various days had pass and I just though: " I just love bookends..."
Do you write stories of your own too? I have always written poetry and short stories. Writing is a fantastic thing. you create a world were you set the rules and you are the only one capable to set a chain reaction of events there.
What do you love most about your favorite genre?
I love fiction because its literature for escape, it activates your imagination and makes gives you the opportunity to explore other worlds, other possibilities.
What is a book that doesn’t exist but you would love to read? (And is there a particular author whom you would like to see write it? I would love to read a prequel of Dust series by Joan Frances Turner.

ReplyDeleteBut really, I'm flattered that you caught me. I mean, chose me.
Okay, going to mush all the questions into one post next week.
I just put up my tag post. Thanks again so much for choosing me :)
ReplyDeleteI don't mind answering questions! I just don't want to talk about myself too much.
ReplyDeleteLoved your kindle vs. book post. Funny!!!
Thanks, glad you liked that post. Frequently, we book bloggers ask to ourselves, do I buy paperback or ebook?, so it is a current theme to all of us.
DeleteThanks for playing, Jess! I never realized this before you pointed it out: bookends are so awesome! Haha what does your favorite pair look like? I agree about the Hunger Games. I have never heard of the Chocolate Wars but that sounds good, I'll have to go check that and the Messenger. I don't know when I'm going to meet a teen who refuses to read but when I do I'm coming with a full arsenal, lol!
