Musing Mondays

MizB@shouldbereading asks us this:

Why do you think that the Young Adult genre is so popular with even the adult readers? Do you read YA books, yourself?

YA literature is in general really popular today. You can see people from every generation reading and enjoying this books although, Young Adult books are written and published for the teenage demographic. This books create a world around an adolescent character who has a series of situations he or she has to confront.

Fiction in YA offers great variety of themes. No matter what genre you are into, you will find a series that can satisfied your reading habits. Series are another appeal of YA. YA authors usually create a series based on a character. This gives the reader an opportunity to understand the characters while seeing them evolve. Sometimes we read a great book and we ask ourselves: Why does it ends? With YA usually we will have many reading hours of adventures with the same character.

YA authors are creating stories appealing to teenagers and adults. The reader can develop a camaraderie with the character and the story he or she portrays. I read YA Books. I'm an adult reader but I enjoy the dynamic plots YA authors develop. The characters are well built and the stories take life easily.
